Ana Maria Mascorro, 74, of Brownsville, Texas entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Ana and her late husband, Oscar, owned and operated Mascorro's Grocery for over 40 years and were well known and loved by the Southmost community. She will always be remembered for her kindness and her elegant selection of dresses that she paired with classy jewelry.
Preceding Ana in death is her husband, Oscar Javier Mascorro, Sr.; her parents, Jesus and Ana Maria Guerra; her only brother, Isidoro Guerra.
Mrs. Mascorro is survived by her only daughter, Maria del Carmen Soto (Saul); three sons Oscar Javier Mascorro Jr. (Melissa), Panfilo Mascorro (Lupita), and Noe Mascorro (Joshalane); thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Maria de Jesus Varela (Juan) and Matilde Alanis (Ramon). Also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will continue on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m at Trevino Funeral Home Southmost.
The Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
