Angelita Palacios

Angelita Palacios, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and great-aunt, entered into eternal rest on May 1st, 2021 at the age of 96.

In 1924, she was born to Victoriano and Guadalupe M. Palacios in Brownsville, Texas. She retired in 1997 from Brownsville Independent School District after working for many years as a food and nutrition server. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with family, playing chalupa and enjoying good food with those she loved.

Angelita was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Julia P. Gonzalez, Victoria P. Tabares, Paulino Palacios, Agustin Palacios and is survived by her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021 with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home Southmost. Visitation resumes from 8:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 11th, 2021 with a funeral mass scheduled at 9 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Cathedral located at 1218 E. Jefferson Street in Brownsville, TX 78520. Rite of committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
