Eliodoro Gonzalez

Eliodoro Gonzalez, a strong-willed and hardworking man who always had a joke ready to share, entered eternal peace on November 17, 2024, in Brownsville, Texas. He was born on July 5, 1937, in Rangerville, Texas and lived a life filled with love and laughter.

Eliodoro is known for his dedication to farming, a passion that brought him joy throughout his lifetime. He also enjoyed watching rooster fights and spending time with friends and family with a cold beer. His vibrant personality and sense of humor left a lasting impression on those around him.

He is survived by his nine loving children: Jesus Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez, Maria E., Elvia Ortuño, Eliodoro Gonzalez Jr., Juan Gonzalez, Mario Gonzalez, Ramiro Gonzalez, and Francisco Gonzalez. Eliodoro was also proud of his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry on his legacy of laughter and love.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita Gonzalez, and his son, Guadalupe Gonzalez.

Visitation services for Eliodoro will be held at Trevino Funeral Home-Southmost, in Brownsville, Texas. The visitation will take place on November 25, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with a rosary starting at 7:00 PM. On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, visitation will resume from 8:15 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a chapel service from 2:00 PM until 2:30 PM. Eliodoro will be laid to rest at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at 3:00 PM on November 26, 2024.
