Elvia R. Lopez, 86, entered eternal rest, on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at North Cypress Hospital in Houston, TX. She was the widow of Eliseo Lopez. They shared 64 years of marriage together.
Born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Elvia was the daughter of Arnulfo and Herlinda Rodriguez. She lived by faith and was a member of Damas Para Cristo Internacional. She was also a prayer warrior at Livingway Family Church.
She is survived by her children, Grabiel (Rosie) Lopez, Herlinda (Ricardo) Zamora, Juanita (Mario) Silva, Eliseo Jr. (Lupita) Lopez and Maria Elena (Pedro) Salazar, 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Arnulfo (Elvia) Rodriguez, Rodolfo (Alejandra) Rodriguez, Juan (Aurora) Rodriguez, Angelita (Adan) Galvan, Anita (†Abelardo) Rangel, Isabel (Rey) Martinez, Irene (†Horacio) Ordoñez, Juanita (Clemente) Rodriguez, Guadalupe (Domingo) Ortiz, Maria Elena Rodriguez, Amparo (Rosendo) Ruelas, Maria de la Luz (Joe) Sandoval and Rosario (Roberto) Ramirez.
Visitation hours will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 between the hours of two o’ clock in the afternoon and nine o’ clock at night with a prayer service that will commence at seven o’ clock at night. Chapel service will take place at Chapel of Serenity Trevino Funeral Home-Southmost, Saturday, March 21, 2020 commencing at 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude with Interment at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
