A faithful servant died on December 28, 2019 at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Francisca Cobos Treviño, formerly of Brownsville, living in Arlington, Texas, passed away leaving behind her sister Tia Tilde, sons Danny, David, Jose Jr., Joel and daughters Ester, Noemi and Ruth, grandchildren Cash, Christopher, Isabell, Jeremy, John, Melissa, Michael, Mina Marie, Nina, and Samantha, and great-grandchildren Alexander, Benjamin, Caiden, Carter, Ciaran, Delilah, Maxine, Molly, Niall, and Ryker, daughters-in-law Abba, Gail, Lydia, Mary Ann, Mina, Susie, and sons-in-law Chris, Patrick, Phil and Robert. Emily and Grace knew her as grandma too.
She was born in Wharton, Texas on December 3, 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Trevino, Sr. who passed in September 1996, her mother, Teresita, and father, Santiago, brothers Francisco, Rosalio and sisters Julia and Tules. She worked in the cotton fields and for Brownsville ISD, Ramada Inn, and a shrimp processing plant. She enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, keeping the bird feeder full, cooking, sewing, helping others when needed, reading her bible and watching religious television programs, but mostly praising her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She kept in contact with loved ones by writing letters or talking on her flip phone. She cheered for the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
Celebration of Life is at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Trevino Funeral Home Southmost in Brownsville, TX with Reverend Joel Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Pallbearers will be Jose Trevino, David Trevino, Danny Trevino, Joel Trevino, Robert DeAnda, Patrick Allen and Chris Miller.
