On April 17, 2024, the world lost a gentle soul with the passing of Jose Julian (J.J.) Saldivar in Brownsville, TX. He was born on June 9, 1979, in the same city that he called home throughout his life.
Julian was known for his kind and loving nature, cherished by all who knew him as a devoted son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. His warm personality touched the hearts of many, and he will be deeply missed.
One of Julian's greatest joys in life was spending quality time with his loved ones. He valued family above all else and created countless cherished memories filled with love and laughter.
A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Julian's life will be held at Christ The King Catholic Church in Brownsville on Friday, April 26, 2024. The service will begin at 10:00 AM, providing an opportunity for family and friends to pay their respects and commemorate the life of a truly remarkable individual.
Julian is survived by his beloved wife, Elena D. Saldivar, his three loving children - Emily, Angela, and Dominick H. Saldivar, his mother Maria Del Carmen Saldivar Guerrero, and his sister Lorena (Mario) Valdez. In addition to his immediate family, he is also mourned by a large circle of extended family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and spirit.
While we grieve the loss of Jose Julian Saldivar from our lives, we also recognize the profound impact he had during his time with us. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In honoring Jose's legacy, let us carry forward his values of love, kindness, and compassion towards one another.
