Jose Mendez

Jose Angel Mendez, 71, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Mendez was preceded in death by his parents: Francisco Mendez and Lydia Ambriz; and his sister: Benita Mendez.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of Jose Angel is his lovely wife: Juanita Mendez, his children: Jose Angel Mendez Jr (Sonya), Gerardo Mendez, Juan G. Mendez (Jackie), Estela Pineda (Victor), Lucia Mendez. Jose Angel also be missed by his brother, Juan M. Mendez; and his sisters, Elisa Mendez, Gloria Mendez, Francisca Mendez, Maria Dolores Mendez and Blanca Mendez: his Grandchildren: Erika Pineda, Jessica Pineda, Victor Pineda Jr., Christopher Cardenas and Addilynne Cardenas, Gerardo Mendez Jr, Bianca Mendez, Juan Jr Mendez, Luis Adrian Mendez and Juan Jose Mendez; and his 3 great-grandchildren: Perfecto Cruz III, Emilee Villarreal, Owen Schroeder.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary service to begin at 7 p.m., at Trevino Funeral Home-Southmost Monday, May 21, 2018. A Chapel Service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Trevino Funeral Home-Southmost with burial to follow at Guillen Community Cemetery in Brownsville TX.
