Jose Murillo

Jose Luis Murillo, 64, of Brownsville, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.

Jose was born in Brownsville, Texas on May 12, 1952, and was a long time resident of Brownsville. He served in the U.S. Marines.

He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Murillo; mother, Lucia Murillo; and by his brothers, Juan Murillo, Jr. and Geronimo Murillo.

He is survived by his son, Joey Murillo; daughters, Melissa and Jolene; brothers Rene, Adan, and Ricardo Murillo of Brownsville, and Gabriel and Rogelio Murillo of Florida; and by his sisters, Gloria Torres and Leticia Lozano both of Brownsville.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Trevino Funeral Home Southmost.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Christ of King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
