Leonor G. Lara passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the age of sixty-nine. She will be dearly missed.
Leonor was born to Florencio Gutierrez and Dominga Ramos in Mexico. She lived in Brownsville, Texas and enjoyed family gatherings, gardening and cabrito.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Agripino Lara Sr. and is survived by her loving children; Francisco (Nidia) Lara, Vicky (Rolando) Casas, Agripino (Gloria) Lara Jr., Guillermina (Hector) Garza, Mirta (Juan) Calvillo and Aaron (Aracelia) Lara. Also, to treasure many memories are her siblings; Francisco Gutierrez, Cirila Garza, twenty-two grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Trevino Funeral Home Southmost. Visitation resumes from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2019 with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home Southmost. The funeral mass is scheduled 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, located at 2645 Tulipan Street in Brownsville, Texas. Burial will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery located at 9055 Boca Chica Blvd.
