Manuel Cuevas

Manuel Leal Cuevas, 70, entered eternal rest on Monday, June 25, 2018, in Brownsville surrounded by his loving family.

Manuel was born to Genaro R. Cuevas and Faustina Leal in Brownsville, Texas. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Left behind to eternally treasure his memories are: his son, Manuel Cuevas Jr.;his two daughters Elvia Cuevas and Erika Garza; his brothers: Juan Cuevas, Nayo Cuevas, Mario Cuevas, and Genaro L. Cuevas. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Romero, Jessie, Manuel Cuevas III, Marcos, Brandon, and Tristan. His great-granchildren: Benjamin Rojas, Ashley Rojas, and Isabelle Rojas and his great-great grandchildren: Elizabeth Ferguson, Alina, Yanelly, King, Melony Delast, Rosa, Xavier, Katalina, and Arisitides. Numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary service to begin at 7 p.m., at Trevino Funeral Home-Southmost Wednesday, June 27, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2645 Tulipan St., Brownsville, Texas. Committal services will be on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mc Davitt Blvd., Brownsville, Texas 78521.
