Margarita Garza entered into eternal life on November 21st, 2020 at the age of sixty three years old. She will be greatly missed.
Margarita was born in 1957 to Rafael L. Castro and Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez in Brownsville, Texas. She was a one-of-a kind daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and a trusting friend. Her love for her family was remarkable and produced with making warm memories and sharing her delicious baking. She enjoyed baking cakes and singing. Margarita was a very joyful person; always with her beautiful smile and her heart of gold.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Domingo Rosas, Carolina Rios, Rafael Castro Jr., Olivia Ramirez; a granddaughter Luna Rose Garza and is survived by her beloved husband Juan J. Garza; their children, Antonio Garza and his wife Mallory, Juan J. Garza Jr. and his wife Nancy, Christina Garza and her husband Ricardo. Margarita and Christina where inseparable; being her mother, her best friend, partner in crimes and always together. In addition, she also loved Rosario Rios, Angelica Rios and Lehi Alvarado as her own. Also, to treasure many memories are Margarita’s grandchildren; Joseph, Anthony, Alyssa, Nova, Bryanna, Juan Jose Garza III, nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
Honored to serve as Margarita’s pallbearers are; Antonio Garza, Abraham Garza, Reymundo Rios, Peter Garcia, Angel Luis Garza, Andres Vasquez and Juan J. Garza and Juan Garza III also known as "The Baby" being the Honorary Pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2020 and Friday, November 27, 2020. Visitation resumes 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2020 with a funeral mass scheduled 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church located on 2645 Tulipan Street in Brownsville, TX 78521. Rite of committal will follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
