Maria Benavidez

Maria C. Benavidez, 83, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 9, 2018, in Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.

Maria was born to Jose Guadalupe Benavidez and Hortencia Sierra in Mexico. Maria was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents. Her brother, Enrique Benavidez and her sister, Ofelia Ramirez.

She is survived by her three sisters: Evelia Benavidez, Maria Antonia Garza, and Herminia Benavidez. She will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home Southmost. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home Southmost. Interment will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.
