Maria Lopez

Maria Garcia Lopez, 94 of Brownsville, Texas entered into eternal rest on February 8, 2014 at VBMC surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lopez was born on May 19, 1919 in Mexico.

Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her 2 sons: Benito Juarez and Noe Landin and her parents: Victor and Brigida Lopez Garcia.

She is survived by her 5 daughters: Elida Cruz, Francisca Maciel, Herminia Buentello, Elvira Quintanilla, Santos Gonzalez, numerous: Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews, 2 sisters: Fina Garcia and Dora Cavazos.
Honored to serve as her Pallbearers are her granddaughters: San Juana Juarez, Yesenia Juarez, Esmeralda Quintanilla, Anita Medina, Maria Moreland and Dahlia Maciel.

The Viewing and visitation will begin today Monday, February 10, 2014 in our Chapel of Devotion from 11:00am to 9:00pm, visitation will resume on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 as of 8:00am to 1:30pm. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 2:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W. St. Francis St., Brownsville, Texas. Interment will follow to San Pedro Community Cemetery in San Pedro, Texas.
