Maria Rodriguez

Maria G. Rodriguez, 58, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Maria was born to Manuel Vela and Aquilina Jaramillo in Soto de la Marina, Tamaulipas. Maria was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her loving husband, Cesar Rodriguez Arratia; three sons: Cesar Rodriguez (Brenda), Jesus Rodriguez (Danielle), and Christopher Rodriguez (Laura); one daughter: Jackie Rodriguez; four brothers: Manuel Vela, Francisco Vela, Humberto Vela, and Juan J. Vela.; one sister: Irma Vela; and six grandchildren: Alexa Campos, Cesar Rodriguez Jr., Jose Manuel Rodriguez, Agustin Rodriguez, Henry Cayetano, and Angie Cayetano.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home Southmost, 1955 Southmost Rd. Brownsville, Tx 78521. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Cathedral, 1218 E. Jefferson St., Brownsville, Texas 78520. Interment will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery, 9055 Boca Chica Blvd., Brownsville, Texas 78521.
