Maria Uvalle

Maria Guadalupe "Lupita" Munoz Uvalle, 76, of Brownsville, Texas, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 peacefully at her home.

She was born September 4, 1939 in H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She was a loving faithful wife, devoted mother, caring grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a loving and thoughtful aunt. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She served as an active volunteer for the Brownsville Housing community, she also volunteered in different programs for the Poinsettia (Villa Verde) Housing Authority.

She was preceded in death by her parents Matias Munoz and Aurora Gonzalez Munoz and siblings Gloria Machuca Mendoza, Alicia Machuca Mora, Alberto Machuca Gonzalez and Ruben Munoz Gonzalez.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Alberto R. Uvalle; sisters, Yolanda Munoz Gonzalez, Rosa Munoz Gonzalez and Norma Munoz Sosa; her children, Carlos Alberto Uvalle (Alma), Laura Guadalupe Gonzalez (Aurelio), Claudia Gabriela Rogers (Cory), Jaime Uvalle (Rosa Isela) and Oscar Eduardo Uvalle; 15 Grandchildren, Isidoro Luna (Martha), Tanya Flores (Ricardo), Martin Lopez, Mario Uvalle, Samantha Rogers, Kevin Rogers, Kayla Rogers, Jaime G. Uvalle, Xeanii Uvalle, Aisa Uvalle, Andrea Uvalle, Kimberly Uvalle, Amberlyn Uvalle, Milagros Uvalle, Oscar Uvalle Jr.; 6 Great-Grandchildren, Isidoro N., Juliette, Aleen, Martin, Justine and Adrian.

Honored to serve as Mrs. Uvalle's Pallbeareres are; Isidoro Luna, Martin Lopez, Mario Uvalle, Kevin Rogers, Jaime G. Uvalle, Ricardo Flores, Raul Ledezma and Raul Ledezma, Jr.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Trevino Funeral Home Southmost with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m.

Funeral Mass is scheduled at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 1200 E. Lincoln Street in Brownsville, Texas.
