Maria Vega

Maria De La Luz Vega, 74 of Los Fresnos, Texas entered into eternal rest on June 19, 2014 Valley Baptist Medical of Brownsville, Texas. Luz was born in Los Fresnos, Texas on March 4, 1940 and was preceded in death by her Parents: Andres C. and Nicolasa S. Vega, she is currently survived by her 4 Children: Ann Belinda Vega, Lisa Ann Lewis, Stella Robert Saenz, Fabian Claudia Mancillas, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, along with 8siblings: Vicente Espinoza, Maria Esparza, Brigida Nena Dominguez, Andres Vega Jr., Jose Macario Vega, Antonio Vega, Anita Vega, and Alfredo Vega, Serving as her Pallbearers will be Ricardo Gomez Jr., Robert Saenz, Alfredo Vega, Antonio Vega, Alex Salazar, and Abraham Infante.

Luz Vega was always full of life, overcoming any obstacle with her winning personality and great sense of humor. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all her family in general. She will be missed as much as she was loved.

Visitation will begin on Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 pm. With a rosary at 7:00 pm., visitation resumes on Saturday as of 9:00 a.m. and her funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Cathedral with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
