Otilia Martinez

Otilia Martinez, 51, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Valley Baptist Medical Center - Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.

Otilia was born to Raul and Teodora Martinez in San Benito, Texas. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Otilia was preceded in death by her parents and by her siblings David Martinez, Rosaura Martinez, and Diana Flores.

Otilia is survived by her husband, Roberto Ruiz Rodriguez; sons Victor, Israel, and Robert Martinez; daughters Melissa Martinez, Vanessa Martinez, and Crystal Rodriguez; brothers Eleazar, Raul, Sr., and Hector M. Martinez; sisters Ruth Cisneros, Emma Mancha, Norma Martinez, Sandra Granado, and Thelma Castro; as well as her twenty-three grandchildren and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home Southmost. The funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
