Petra Barrientos

Petra G. Barrientos, 71 of BrownsvilleEdinburg, Texas entered into eternal rest on February 12, 2014 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Barrientos was born on September 1, 1942 in Brownsville, Texas.

Mrs. Barrientos was preceded in death by her husband: Guadalupe Barrientos and her parents: Edelmiro and Eugenia Dominguez Gutierrez.

She is survived by her 2 daughters: Marina Barrientos and Edna B. Juan Vasquez and her son: Jose Guadalupe Gutierrez. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7great grandchildren and her 2 sisters: Gloria Acosta and Yolanda Sanchez.

Honored to serve as her Pallbearers will be: Jose Castillo, Mario Castillo, Martin Castillo, Leonardo Silva, Jose Luciano Silva, Amanda Silva, Stephanie Marie Castillo, Klarisha Desiree Rodriguez and Honorary Pallbearer: Elvira Alejandra Vasquez.

The viewing and visitation will begin on Friday, February 14, 2014 in our Chapel of Devotion from 9:00am to 9:00pm., with a holy rosary at 7:00pm., visitation will resume on Saturday, February 15, 2014 as 8:00am to 10:00am. Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11:00am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2645 Tulipan Street, Brownsville, Texas. Interment will follow to Buena Vista Burial Park.
