Porfirio Salazar

Porfirio Silva Salazar, 73, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 28, 2018, in Brownsville surrounded by his loving family.

Porfirio was born to Manuel Silva an Julia Salazar in Mexico. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Left behind to eternally treasure his memories are: his wife: Maria de Jesus Avalos; his son, Manuel Alejandro Silva (Mayra Longoria); his two daughters Ana Isabel Silva (Michael Mendoza) and Juana Dalia Rodriguez; his sisters: Soledad Torres, Maria Elena Silva, and Martina L. Silva. He will also be greatly missed by his four grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary service to begin at 7 p.m., at Trevino Funeral Home-Southmost Friday, June 29, 2018. All services to conclude on Friday, June 29, 2018. Cremation to follow,
