He is preceded in death by his loving wife Maria Elia, his grandson Felix Edwardo Garza, and great grandson Leonel Gerardo Vega, his parents Camilo and Antonia, his brothers Luis, Carlos, Antonio, Camilo Jr. Garza and his sisters Amada Castro and Adela Herrera.

Sabas, lived a full life. He had faith and loved the Lord very much. He was grateful for the many miracles he performed in his life. He loved his wife Elia of 50 years, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and numerous relatives. Family was important to him, like it was to his mother Antonia. He would visit family members, attend family functions and funerals to show his love and respect. He also made sure he called his children on their birthdays to wish them a happy birthday and show up with a gift or dessert. Always welcomed us with a warm smile and a hug. He was a father figure to many and a close friend to others. He respected life and he was not one to complain. He would always say, “Don’t look back, always look forward” and “Don’t leave what you can do today for tomorrow, because we are not guaranteed a tomorrow.” He enjoyed the outdoors and his farm animals. Daily he and his children would care for his cows and his spoiled bull Pancho. He also enjoyed fishing and watching football with the family. Memories are many, he had a good sense of humor, his love was shown, spoken, and felt, his godly praise and gratitude for life were evident. We love him and we will miss him greatly.

He is survived by his children: Feliciano Garza, Beatrice G. Martinez (Julian), Camilo Garza (Diana), Sabas Garza Jr. (Rosa), Julie G. Munoz (Jesus), San Juanita G. Garcia (Ricardo), Maria Elia G.
