On Wednesday, May 13, 2020, San Graviel López (Lito), loving son, brother, husband, father of four and grandfather of seven passed away at the age of 62.
Graviel was born on June 23, 1957 in Manchester, IA to Eliseo López and Elvia Rodriguez. He was a man that believed in working hard, performing more than 4 jobs at a time. He worked as a school bus driver for BISD (Brownsville Independent School District) for 20 years, and during this period, he decided to open his own business (Lito & Sons concrete). On Saturday, December 27, 1975 he married Maria Rosa Rodriguez. They were married for 44 years in which they raised two sons, Luis and Miguel, and two daughters, Rosa and Lorena.
Graviel had a passion for fishing. He also loved to barbeque, and he combined his two favorite hobbies to create the perfect day. His brisket was admired and enjoyed by family and friends.
San Graviel López was preceded in death by his father, Eliseo (Cheyo) and his mother, Elvia. He is survived by his loving wife Maria Rosa López, his four children, Luis (Bibi), Rosa (Chacha), Lorena (Lori), Miguel (Mikey), Seven grandchildren, Kassandra López (Kassi), Natalie López (Nat), Damián Juárez (DJ), Alina Cuellar (Ali), Ariel Reyes (Bubbles), Sophia López (Chofi), and Amirr Lopez(Elijah).
Visitation hours will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. within the Chapel of Serenity at Treviño Funeral Homes – Southmost.
