Silas Buttery

South Padre Island- Silas Woodson "Woody" Buttery Jr., 67, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.
He was born on June 23, 1949 to Mr. Silas Woodson Buttery & Daisy Lee Creech.
Mr. Buttery is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his Loving Wife of 48 years Peggy Sue Buttery; his beautiful daughters Wendy (Mack) Collins and Kimberly (Ricky) Cartwright; his brother Fred Buttery; his sisters Louise Miller and Sue Baxter; his grandchildren Austin Buttery, Ian Weliever & Jonah Weliever; his Great Grandchildren Conner Buttery and Bryer Buttery.
Mr. Buttery was an avid fisher and loved to tell stories. Many people talking to "Woody" would turn to Peggy to see if he was telling the truth because he was known for telling whoppers. Woody will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. He made the room laugh when he could.
Visitation for Mr. Silas "Woody" Buttery is scheduled for Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Mr. Buttery will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Trevino Funeral Home Southmost of Brownsville.
